Drain cameras

CCTV drain surveys in London, see what’s really there

A CCTV drain survey answers a lot of questions: why a drain keeps blocking, where a stubborn smell is coming from, or what state the pipes are in before you buy a home. We feed a waterproof camera down the line to show the pipe’s real condition. It might be a collapse, roots getting in, a joint out of line, or nothing wrong at all. Whatever it shows, you get the footage and a written report.

Try these before you ring

You might fix it yourself. If so, great. If not, we’re a call away.

A survey finds the problem, it doesn’t fix it

The camera shows you what’s wrong and where it is. If it’s a blockage, clearing it is a separate job. If a section has collapsed, that means digging down and repairing it. We quote the survey and the likely next step separately, and booking one doesn’t tie you to the other.

Repeat blockages usually mean the pipe itself

If a drain keeps blocking every few months even after proper clearing, something is catching the debris: a root, a dip in the pipe, or part of it collapsing. A survey finds that real cause, so you stop paying to clear the same symptom.

Buying a home? Book your own survey

A survey arranged by the seller isn’t always independent. Booking your own costs little, especially for a period home with clay drains, compared with finding a collapsed pipe after you’ve completed.

Insurers and solicitors want the report

What gets accepted for an insurance claim or a house purchase is a written report with timestamped footage showing locations. Simply describing what was seen won’t do. That’s why the report comes as standard, not as an add-on.

Your questions

What people ask us

How long will the survey take?

One run on a home is normally done in under an hour. A whole-property survey covering several runs, or a longer commercial line, takes more time.

What if my drain is hard to get to?

We can usually go in through the closest manhole or gully, with no digging needed first. If there really is no way in, we’ll tell you before charging for a visit.

Do I get to watch the footage?

Yes. The recording and the written report are both included with your survey, not charged as extras.

What happens if you find something serious?

We’ll explain exactly what we found, where it is and what the fix would involve. Then we’ll quote that as its own job, so you can decide with everything in front of you.
