Air conditioning installation in London, sized for your rooms
For air conditioning installation in London, the first choice is usually split or multi-split. A split system cools a single room. A multi-split runs several indoor units from one outdoor condenser. Which suits you depends on how many rooms you want cooled, where the outdoor unit can sit, and what your walls and cabling allow. The refrigerant work is done by F-Gas registered engineers, as the law requires, never just assumed.

Your rooms decide split or multi-split, not just your budget
For one room, a simple split system does the job. For several rooms, one outdoor condenser can often serve them all as a multi-split. That’s neater, and usually cheaper than separate systems, as long as the outdoor unit has a sensible home and the pipe runs are realistic.
The outdoor unit is usually the big decision
It needs space for air to flow, a sensible route for the pipes and drain back indoors, and in a flat or conservation area you may need consent from the freeholder or the council. Check this before you pick the indoor unit.
Plan where the condensate goes
Every indoor unit makes water while it cools. That water needs a proper drain route, not a pipe dripping onto a flat roof or next door’s wall. We sort it out at installation, not afterwards.
F-Gas registration is a must
Fitting, servicing or decommissioning a system that uses refrigerant is regulated work. By law, only F-Gas registered engineers can handle the refrigerant side. Asking to see the certification is a fair question, and we’re happy to show you.
What people ask us
Will I need planning permission for the outdoor unit?
For a house, usually not. Flats, listed buildings and conservation areas can need consent for where the outdoor unit goes. If that applies to you, we’ll say so before booking a survey.
How many rooms can run off one outdoor unit?
Usually two to five indoor units can share one outdoor condenser as a multi-split, depending on the make and the total capacity you need. We size the system to your rooms, not to whatever happens to be on the van.
Will my installation be certified?
The refrigerant work is done by F-Gas registered engineers. That’s required by law, not an optional extra, and we can show you the certification if you ask.
Can you maintain the system once it’s in?
Yes. Yearly maintenance and F-Gas leak checks are a separate service, explained on our air conditioning maintenance page. It’s open to you whether we fitted your system or not.
