A service means we inspect and clean. If we spot a part that has failed, replacing it is a separate job, and we’ll give you a price before we touch it. You should never get a bill you didn’t agree to.

Hang on to the paperwork

If you ever claim on your warranty, the manufacturer will want proof of yearly servicing. Keep the record somewhere safe. A single sheet of paper can decide whether a repair is free or not.

What a service doesn’t cover

We check the boiler, not every pipe and radiator. Radiators cold at the bottom, or a system clogged with sludge, is a separate issue. That needs a flush, not a service.

How long will the service take?

For a standard home boiler, usually less than an hour. It can take longer if the engineer spots something worth looking into. We’d rather spend the extra time than sign off something that isn’t right.

Is a service the same as a repair?

No. A service is a planned inspection and clean. A repair sorts out a particular fault. If the service shows a part has failed, we price that on its own and check you’re happy before we replace it.

Will you service a boiler someone else fitted?

Of course. Who installed it makes no difference to us.
