Air conditioning repair in London, the real fault found
When you need air conditioning repair in London, the cause is rarely obvious from the outside. Your unit may have stopped cooling, be dripping water indoors, or trip the electrics the moment it starts. We work out the real fault, whether that’s refrigerant, drainage, electrics or the unit itself, before we price the repair. So you’re never paying for a guess.

Try these before you ring
You might fix it yourself. If so, great. If not, we’re a call away.
A few basic checks before you book
Is the unit definitely getting power? Is the remote or wall control set to cool, not fan or heat? Is anything blocking the air around the outdoor unit? It sounds obvious, but these still account for plenty of “it’s stopped working” calls.
Water indoors is usually the drain, not a leak
If water is dripping from the indoor unit, it’s nearly always a blocked condensate drain or one without enough fall, not the refrigerant system. Once found, it’s easy to fix. Ignore it, though, and it can stain a ceiling or wall just like a plumbing leak.
Don’t keep resetting a breaker that trips
Resetting the circuit and hoping won’t fix an electrical fault that keeps tripping it. Tripping again and again usually means the fault is getting worse, and if you keep running the unit, a repair can turn into a replacement.
Refrigerant leaks need an F-Gas engineer
If you’ve lost refrigerant, by law only an F-Gas registered engineer can find and repair the leak and handle the refrigerant. However cheap a general handyman might be, it isn’t a job for them.
What people ask us
Why won’t my air conditioning cool any more?
Often it’s a refrigerant leak or a fault with the outdoor unit. Sometimes it’s simply a filter so clogged that air can’t get through. We rule out the simple causes first before assuming the worst.
Why is water leaking from my indoor unit?
Nearly always it’s the condensate drain, blocked or without enough fall, rather than the refrigerant system. Once we can see the drain run, it’s usually quick to put right.
Will you repair a system someone else fitted?
Yes. It doesn’t matter to us who put it in.
Will a refrigerant leak be expensive to fix?
That depends on where the leak is and how easy the pipework is to reach. We find and confirm the leak first, then quote for the repair. Never the other way round.
